Chelsea examines the Pirand Emperor Tulips.
The Pirands have been joined by a second variety, Red Emperors. These Emperors have opened up down at the Oak Street end of our street to soak up the afternoon sun.
Early variety Emperor Tulips are starting to bloom. The first few all seem to be the Pirand cultivar.
This is from 21 which is between Pine and Maple - not quite as far along as 75 but close. Does anyone have a photo of the patch between Maple and Beech that is blooming?
We have a few flowers opening Friday April 26 and Saturday the 27th!
Tulips from the smaller bulbs potted in pots.
A couple of leftover small bulbs were tossed into pots and left in the cold this past winter. Look at them now - blooming in the vestibule of #22! Signs of things to come.
Our tulips mysteriously found their way to the Commons and the corner of Victoria and Tulip.
